Feel good about how God made you...........
The other day, a man spoke to a young woman in the lobby of Church, and by all outward appearances, she seemed to be happy and on the top of the world. On the inside, however, she had a war going on. She didn't like herself. She thought she was unattractive. She thought she was overweight. She had a long list of things she felt were wrong with her. As the man talked with her, he discovered that her father had always put her down. The sad thing is, this young lady in her late twenties had gone through two marriages, and now she was about to end her third marriage. The man told her, "You've got the wrong recording playing on your internal CD player. You're constantly telling yourself, 'I'm unattractive and unlovable. You were not created to live that way. God created you to feel good about yourself. If you cannot get along with yourself, you'll never be able to get along with other people. You need to get peace with who you are." Perhaps, like the young woman , the root cause was something that happened way back in your life. Maybe, like many people, you don't know how to turn it off. You think it is normal to go around feeling bad about yourself. You may not have gotten everything that you should have from your parents or the people who raised you, but always remember this: It's not how we start that counts; it's how we finish. Tell yourself every day, "I am the apple of God's eye. I'm how we finish. I'm His most prized possession. I am crowned with glory and honor. I am valuable. I am attractive. I have a bright future in front of me." Understand that the negative voices always seem to cry out the loudest. As long as you stay focused on the negative , you will have a way on the inside. Replace the negative recordings with new, positive, uplifting messages. Start thinking the right thoughts about yourself. Feel good about how God made you, and who you are today.
