P.U.S.H.....................

P.U.S.H........................

One night, a man was sleeping in his cabin when suddenly his room was filled with the light and the Creator appeared. The Creator told the man he had work for him to do, and showed him a large rock in front of his cabin. The Creator explained that the man was to push against the rock with all his might. The man did the same, day after day. For many years he toiled from sun up to sun down, his shoulders set squarely against the cold, massive surface of the unmoving rock, pushing with all his might. Each night the man returned to his cabin sore, and worn out, feeling that his whole day had been spent in vain... Since the man was showing signs of discouragement, the Adversary decided to enter the picture by placing thoughts into the man's weary mind: "You have been pushing against that rock for a long time, and it hasn't budged. Why kill yourself over this? You can never move it," thus, giving the man the impression that the task was impossible and that he was a failure. These thoughts discouraged and disheartened the man. "Why kill myself over this?" he thought. "I'll just put in my time, giving just the minimum effort; and that will be good enough." And that is what he planned to do, until one day he decided to make it a matter of prayer and take his troubled thoughts to the Creator. "Creator," he said, "I have labored long and hard in your service, putting all my strength to do that which you have asked. Yet, after all this time, I have not even budged that rock by half a millimeter. What is wrong? Why am I failing?" The Creator responded compassionately, "My friend, when I asked you to serve me and you accepted, I told you that your task was to push against the rock with all your strength, which you have done. Never once did I mention to you that I expected you to move it. Your task was to push." "Now you come to me with your strength spent, thinking that you have failed. But is that really so? Look at yourself. Your arms are strong and muscled, your back is sinewy and brown, your hands are callused from constant pressure, and your legs have become massive and hard. Through opposition you have grown much, and your abilities now surpass that which you used to have. Yet you haven't moved the rock. But your calling was to be obedient and to push and to exercise your faith in My wisdom. This you have done. I, my friend, will now move the rock." At times, when we hear a word from the Creator, we tend to use our own intellect to decipher what He wants, when actually what the Creator wants is just obedience and faith in Him.... By all means, exercise the faith that moves mountains, but know that it is still the Creator who moves the mountains. When everything seems to go wrong ... just P.U.S.H.! When the job gets you down ... just P.U.S.H.! When people don't react the way you think they should ... just P.U.S.H.! When your money looks gone and the bills are due ... just P.U.S.H.! When people just don't understand you...Just PUSH! P.U.S.H - Pray Until Something Happens

Promise for the Day:  He shall pray to God, and He will delight in him, He shall see His face with joy, For He restores to man His righteousness. Job 33:26 (NKJV)

Change Your Landscape……...

Change Your Landscape……...

There was a mailman, John Hand, who rode his mail truck through Los Altos Hills of
California on his 50 mile route each day.  The route was plain, all brown and virtually no color.  One day he began to throw wild flower seeds out of the window as he drove.  Today, if you travel his route in the Los Altos Hills you'll find beautiful patches of flowers throughout, blossoming in many colors. We all travel different roads.  Sadly, many of us miss wonderful opportunities to change and bring added beauty to our landscapes. In our families, at our jobs, in the world around us, God has given us opportunity to color those landscapes!   It's far easier for us to complain and resign ourselves to settling for those landscapes, than it is to be the catalysts of change. From this point on, let's resolve to stop complaining about the lifelessness around us and do something about it!  God has given us the power and anointing to change those landscapes!  Let's start sowing the seeds of the Gospel, the seeds of salvation and new life.  Let's sow the seeds of love, joy, righteousness and all the tasty fruits of the Spirit.  As we sow them throughout our daily lives, those dull, dry landscapes will begin blossom into something beautiful and we, like that mailman, John Hand, will be remembered as the ones who sowed those seeds. Friends, be a sower of seed producing fruit of a 100-fold! There's so much work to be done!

Promise For The Day: But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it. Matthew 13:23. (NKJV)

God's Embroidery...........

God's Embroidery…………

There was five years little boy, by name Tom. His mother use to do embroidery work. He use to sit at her knee and look up from the floor and ask what she is doing. She informed him that she is embroidering. He told her that it looks like a mess from where he was sitting. He watched her work within the boundaries of the little round hoop that she held in her hand, He complained her that it sure looks messy from where he sat. He wonders why she was using some dark threads along with the bright ones and why they seemed so jumbled from his view. She smiled at him and gently said, My son, you go about your playing for a while, and when I finish my embroidering, I will put you on my knee and let you see it from my side.  Few minutes passed and then he heard Mother's voice say, Son come in. He ran in to the room, He could not believe it, because from underneath it looked so messy. Then his Mother said to him, My son, from underneath it did look messy and jumbled, but you did not realize that there was a pre-drawn plan on the top. It was a design. I was only following it. Now look at it from my side and you will see what I was doing and he surprised by seeing a beautiful flower designed by her mother. Friends many times through the years you would have looked up to Heavenly Father and said, Father, what are You doing? He has answered; I am embroidering your life. But you will say; Lord it looks like a mess to me. It seems so jumbled. The threads seem so dark. Why can't they all be bright? The Father will say, My child, I am there and I will take care. May God discover to you new depths of love and make His Presence felt in your soul as never before that transforming Presence which lightens every burden and makes all crosses sweet for His love's sake. One day you will realize how beautifully God has designed your life.

Promise for the Day: And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28 (NKJV)

Lunch with God……………

Lunch with God……………

There once was a little boy who wanted to meet God. He knew it was a long trip to where God lived, so he packed his suitcase with cookies and a six-pack of orange juice, and he started his journey. When he had gone about three blocks, he met an old woman. She was sitting in the park just staring at some pigeons. The boy sat down next to her and opened his suitcase. He was about to take a drink orange juice, when he noticed that the old lady looked hungry so he offered her orange juice. She gratefully accepted it and smiled at him. Her smile was so pretty that the boy wanted to see it again, so he offered her one more pack of orange juice. Once again, she smiled at him. The boy was delighted! They sat there all afternoon eating and smiling, but they never said a word. As it grew dark, the boy realized how tired he was and he got up to leave but before he had gone more than a few steps; he turned around, ran back to the old woman, and gave her a hug. She gave him her biggest smile ever. When the boy opened the door to his own house a short time later his mother was surprised by the look of joy on his face. She asked him, "What did you do today that made you so happy?" He replied, "I had lunch with God." But before his mother could respond, he added, "You know what? She's got the most beautiful smile I've ever seen!" Meanwhile, the old woman also radiant with joy, returned to her home. Her son was stunned by the look of peace on her face and he asked, "Mother, what did you do today that made you so happy?" She replied, "I ate cookies in the park with God.  Too often we under estimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.

Promise for the Day: I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for (God) Me. Matthew 25:40 (NIV)

Mother’s Love for You............

Mother's Love for You............

An article in National Geographic several years ago provided a penetrating picture of God's wings... After a fire in Yellowstone National Park, forest rangers began their trek up a mountain to assess the inferno's damage. All the birds were flying for their lives. But one bird did not. Later, one ranger found a bird literally burnt into ashes. Somewhat sickened by the eerie sight, he knocked over the bird with a stick. When he struck it, three tiny chicks were found under their dead mother's wings. The loving mother, keenly aware of impending disaster, had carried her offspring to the base of the tree and had gathered them under her wings, instinctively knowing that the toxic smoke would rise. She could have flown to safety but had refused to abandon her babies. When the blaze had arrived and the heat had scorched her small body, the mother had remained steadfast, because she was willing to die, for the little ones under her wings to live.........Dear Friends it's true that we are safe under His wings from the trials and tribulations of this world. And His love is unchanging and everlasting.

Promise for the Day:  I will comfort you, as a mother comforts her child. You will be comforted in Jerusalem. Isaiah 66:13 (New Century Version)

He will Answer Your Cry ....

He Will Answer Your Cry...........

Once there was a man, who goes to the doctor due to some problem. He tells the doctor that, his wife is acting being deaf these days, i.e. no matter what this man says she is not replying to any of the things. The doctor says, "I do not have a treatment right now for this problem, I can suggest you something through which you can know her level of deafness then we can start treatment." The doctor says, go home and try calling your wife from 30 feet far and then go little closer and then call her again and go little further and repeat the same. Do this in order to know her level of deafness. The man says, "Ok doctor I will try this out" and left that place. The man goes home. He tells his wife, "Honey what's for dinner?" He does not get any reply. He goes little further and asks the same question. He does this ten times; he was almost near to her. Then for the 10th time she answers him saying, "How many times should I reply saying that today is the special dinner for you." It means it was not his wife who was deaf but he himself.  Friends, it is same with Our God. We think that we ask him so many things in prayer many times and Lord is not answering us. But it is the other way around. He always listens to our cry and answers our prayer as our Lord is gracious and merciful but we never realize them. He may give answers to our prayers to us but in different ways. Because he says, my thoughts are not your thoughts and my ways are not your ways.

Promise for the Day:  "O people of Zion, who live in Jerusalem, you will weep no more. How gracious he will be when you cry for help! As soon as he hears, he will answer you." Isaiah 30:19

Fwd: 5 Reasons Why God Uses Problems

5 Reasons Why God Uses Problems

T
he problems you face will either defeat you or develop
you - depending on how you respond to them.
Unfortunately, most people fail to see how God wants to
use problems for good in their lives. They react foolishly and resent their
problems rather than pausing to consider what benefit they might bring.
Here are five ways God wants to use the problems in your life:

1.God Uses Problems To
DIRECT U
S
ometimes God must light a fire under you to get you moving.
Problems often point us in a new direction and motivate us to change.
Is God trying to get your attention? "Sometimes it takes
a painful situation to make us change our ways."

2. God Uses Problems To
INSPECT U
P
eople are like tea bags...if you want to know what's inside them,
just drop them into hot ever water! Has God tested
your faith with a problem What do problems reveal about you?
"When you have many kinds of troubles, you should be full
of joy, because you know that these  troubles test your faith,
and this will give you patience."

3. God Uses Problems To
CORRECT U
S
ome lessons we learn only through pain and failure.
It's likely that as a child your parents told you not to touch a hot stove.
But you probably learned by being burned. Sometimes we only learn
the value of something... health, money, a relationship. ..
by losing it. "It was the best thing that could have happened to me,
for it taught me to pay attention to your laws."

4. God Uses Problems To
PROTECT U
A
problem can be a blessing in disguise if it prevents you from
being harmed by something more serious. Last year a friend
was fired for refusing to do something unethical that his boss
had asked him to do. His unemployment was a problem - but
it saved him from being convicted and sent to prison a year
later when management's actions were eventually discovered.
"You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good...

5. God Uses Problems To
PERFECT U
P
roblems, when responded to correctly, are character builders.
God is far more interested in your character than your comfort.
Your relationship to God and your character are the only two
things you're going to take with you into eternity.
"We can rejoice when we run into problems...
they help us learn to be patient. And patience develops strength of
character in us and helps us trust God more each time
we use it until finally our hope and faith are strong and steady."

Here's the point Ad:

God
is at work in your life - even when you do not recognize it or understand it.
But it's much easier and profitable when you cooperate with Him.

Today's Verse

VERSE:
Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain.
Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in
vain.

   -- Psalm 127:1

THOUGHT:
"It's all up to you!" That's the prevailing mindset for high
achievers in our world. But it is wrong. Our efforts to build and
be a part of something great are ultimately in vain if the Lord
doesn't bless them. They may flourish for a time under our intense
efforts, but if the plans and the construction of great things are
not from the Lord, they will not stand the test of time.

PRAYER:
Almighty God and Eternal Father, forgive me for trying to make
everything happen by my own efforts and relentless work. You can do
far more to advance my work for your kingdom than all my worry and
fretfulness could ever do. Please take the lead in every aspect of
my life; defeat me in efforts not in harmony with your will and
please empower those efforts which will bring you glory and others
closer to your grace. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen

Ox weds donkey

From StanleyonBible.com...

"Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers" (2 Cor 6:14)

Many a young Christian has ruined his life because of unholy alliance in marriage. Marriage is a yoke. The Bible forbids unequal yoke (2 Cor 6:14). "You shall not plow with an ox and a donkey together" (Dt 22:10).

Both the Old and the New Testaments strongly condemn intermarriage with unbelievers. Intermingling the "holy seed" with the unconverted is called as "trespass, transgression, iniquity and guilt" (Ezra 9:1-6). Even a widow who is a believer is not permitted to marry an unbeliever. "She is at liberty to be married to whom she wishes, only in the Lord" (1 Cor 7:39).

Even if your parents press you to marry an unbeliever, for whatever reason, you can firmly refuse. Obedience to parents also must be "in the Lord" (Eph 6:1). If you have fallen in love with an unbeliever, break the affair unless your fiance or fiancee gets genuinely converted. Beware of baptisms just for the sake of marriage!

True in some cases the unbelieving spouse gets converted after marriage. But no truth can be established from this. The Bible challenges, "How do you know, O wife, whether you will save your husband? Or how do you know, O husband, whether you will save your wife?" (1 Cor 7:16). Marriage is too serious a matter to take risk. If you have already made the mistake of marrying an unbeliever, you can now do nothing but pray and believe God for his or her salvation.

When young people from non-Christian background embrace the Gospel, they find it extremely difficult to find suitable believing partners. Casteism is prevalent even among Christians in India. Christian leaders and pastors must voluntarily take sincere efforts to settle marriages for the non-Christian converts. Believing young people from Christian families should come forward to marry non-Christian converts. Why not? Sometimes the families of these converts may throw them out of their community. The Church should support such with all sensitivity.

    Thy way, not mine, O Lord, however dark it be;
Lead me by Thine own hand, choose Thou the path for me.
    I dare not choose my lot; I would not if might;
Choose Thou for me, my God, so shall I walk aright!

Today's Verse

VERSE:
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these
things will be given to you as well.
   -- Matthew 6:33

THOUGHT:
Seek! That is the focus word in this verse. This word is a
robust word, describing a passionate pursuit of something to make
it our own. The Kingdom, and the righteousness of those in this
Kingdom, are not our wish, our hope, our dream -- they are to be
our passion. We will pursue God's Kingdom at all costs. We will
pursue it with passion. This will be our consuming effort until we
make it our own, or better yet, find it our home!

PRAYER:
Forgive me, dear God, for letting my passion for your Kingdom
and your character get pushed to the side. Awaken me each morning
with a sense of passion for your work and your will for that day.
Father, I want to be a passionate seeker; please make me restless
for your Kingdom as my home. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
