Christ is the way, always. Here we try to walk as per his guidance. Come let's walk with him, in HIS way.

You Can Sleep When The Wind Blows............. (Refuge from the Storm)
Years ago a farmer owned land along the Atlantic seacoast. He constantly advertised for hired hands. Most people were reluctant to work on farms along the Atlantic. They dreaded the awful storms that raged across the Atlantic, wreaking havoc on the buildings and crops. As the farmer interviewed applicants for the job, he received a steady stream of refusals.
Finally, a short, thin man, well past middle age, approached the farmer. "Are you a good farmhand?" the farmer asked him. "Well, I can sleep when the wind blows," answered the little man. Although puzzled by this answer, the farmer, desperate for help, hired him. The little man worked well around the farm, busy from dawn to dusk, and the farmer felt satisfied with the man's work.
Then one night the wind howled loudly in from offshore. Jumping out of bed, the farmer grabbed a lantern and rushed next door to the hired hand's sleeping quarters. He shook the little man and yelled, "Get up! A storm is coming! Tie things down before they blow away!" The little man rolled over in bed and said firmly, "No sir. I told you, I can sleep when the wind blows." Enraged by the old man's response, the farmer was tempted to fire him on the spot. Instead, he hurried outside to prepare for the storm. To his amazement, he discovered that all of the haystacks had been covered with tarpaulins. The cows were in the barn, the chickens were in the coops, and the doors were barred. The shutters were tightly secured. Everything was tied down. Nothing could blow away.
The farmer then understood what his hired hand meant, and he returned to bed to also sleep while the wind blew. SPIRITUAL TRUTH: When you're prepared, you have nothing to fear. Can you sleep when the wind blows through your life? The hired hand in the story was able to sleep because he had secured the farm against the storm.
We secure ourselves against the storms of life by grounding ourselves firmly in the power of God.

Bearing One Another's Burdens………….
Bearing One Another's Burdens………….
If you are looking for a way to carry out Christ's command to love your neighbor, Paul has a suggestion: bear their burdens. At some point, everyone struggles under the weight of an oppressive situation. Believers have an obligation to get under that load next to their brothers and sisters. Jesus sets the pattern for burden bearing. He calls to Himself all who are heavy-laden and gives them rest (Matt. 11:28-29). Since God predestines believers to be conformed to Christ's likeness, we must imitate His care and concern for those who suffer. Acts 4:32 shows that the early church followed His example. To lift the load of poverty, they pooled their resources so that no one was in need. Paul's letters make clear his concern for the physical and spiritual welfare of growing churches. He fasted and prayed for them and sent missionaries when he could. He felt it was his responsibility to strengthen them, even though he sustained a personal hardship--his thorn in the flesh (2 Cor. 12:7). A believer cannot wait until his life is clear of obstacles before reaching out to others, since that day may never come. Even though we have our own needs, we can do all things through Christ's strength--including sharing someone else's adversity (2 Cor. 12:9). When you're willing to wade into someone else's troubles to help that person hold up under the weight, two things happen. First, he or she receives desperately needed blessings in the form of aid, support, and love. And second, you fulfill God's command to love a neighbor as yourself.
Promise for the Day: Share each other's burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2. (New Living Translation)

What God Can Do with Your Whole Life………..
What God Can Do with Your Whole Life………..
The boy hesitated as Andrew pushed him toward Jesus. "Sir, I have only a small lunch, five loaves and two fish, but if this could help feed some of the people, you can have it." I'm sure Jesus smiled and said, "Thank you. I think this is exactly what I need." The boy watched in awe as, with that small lunch, Jesus fed more than 5,000, with lots of leftovers. "Wow," the boy responded. "If he can do that with my lunch, I wonder what he could do with my whole life!" Each of us could wonder the same thing: What if I give him my whole life?!? What if I give him my time? Would my day look different? Would I get the priority things done? Would he multiply my time to enable me to accomplish more of his work? What if I give him my talents? He gave them to me to begin with - would he develop them more fully, more beautifully. Would he fill me up and pour me out to touch every life I encounter? Would he surprise me with the good works he created me to do? And what if I give him my treasure? Do I really need so much of it? It's just loaned to me anyway. He tells me not to invest in things that don't last, but to invest in heavenly endeavors, where the return on investment multiplies many times - for eternity. So what if I don't stop at time, talents and treasure? What if I give him my hopes and my dreams? It happened to me. I had dreams: to be a good sportsman and writer, musician, to reach so many people for Christ. I gave them to him - and the vastness of the bitterness has been staggering. I would have settled for so much less - God had so much more. But wait. What happens if I give him those negative things in my life--my shame, my guilt, my fears? Certainly he won't multiply those; maybe he will halve them. No, not halves, He erases them, forgives them, buries them, and sets me free from them. So Lord, I give you everything I am and have - puny as it all is - to do what you desire with all you made me to be. The song says, "I can only imagine!" And that is true - I can only imagine. But his Word promises that he will do far more with what we give him - even our whole lives - than we can ask or even imagine!
Promise for the Day: "Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD." Ps 27:14.

Being Promoted Beyond Your Ability……..
Being Promoted Beyond Your Ability……..
Have you ever done a job so well that you were promoted outside your skill set? The exceptional salesman gets promoted to manager and fails as a manager. The secretary gets promoted to office manager but fails for lack of management skills. Understanding your Gods power will enable you to know when you are moving in a direction away from that which God has intended for your life. I have seen this principle happen a lot over the years. There is a paradox between these two concepts that cannot be ignored. Sometimes God will place you in situations in which you have no natural gifting. In these cases, God puts you there to experience His power in order to accomplish your tasks. God sometimes moves us beyond our natural gifting and allows us operate in a place where our natural gifts do not fit the job. Other times He is teaching us to acquire a new skill set for the given situation.
Promise for the Day: "But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness'" (2Cor 12:9).

The True Hero of the Titanic Ship............... (Must Read--This true story will make you cry....)
The True Hero of the Titanic Ship...............
John Harper was born to a pair of solid Christian parents on May 29th, 1872. It was on the last Sunday of March 1886, when he was thirteen years old that he received Jesus as the Lord of his life. He never knew what it was to "sow his wild oats." He began to preach about four years later at the ripe old age of 17 years old by going down to the streets of his village and pouring out his soul in earnest entreaty for men to be reconciled to God. As John Harper's life unfolded, one thing was apparent...he was consumed by the word of God. When asked by various ministers what his doctrine consisted of, he was known to reply "The Word of God!" After five or six years of toiling on street corners preaching the gospel and working in the mill during the day, Harper was taken in by Rev. E. A. Carter of Baptist Pioneer Mission in London, England. This set Harper free to devote his whole time of energy to the work so dear to his heart. Soon, John Harper started his own church in September of 1896. (Now known as the Harper Memorial Church.) This church which John Harper had started with just 25 members, had grown to over 500 members when he left 13 years later. During this time he had got married, God did bless John Harper with a beautiful little girl named Nana. Ironically, John Harper almost drowned several times during his life. When he was two and a half years of age, he almost drowned when he fell into a well but was resuscitated by his mother. At the age of Twenty-six, he was swept out to sea by a reverse current and barely survived, and at thirty-two he faced death on a leaking ship in the Mediterranean. Perhaps, God used these experiences to prepare this servant for what he faced next....... It was the night of April 14, 1912. The RMS Titanic sailed swiftly on the bitterly cold ocean waters heading unknowingly into the pages of history. On board this luxurious ocean liner were many rich and famous people. At the time of the ship's launch, it was the world's largest man-made moveable object. At 11:40 p.m. on that fateful night, an iceberg scraped the ship's starboard side, showering the decks with ice and ripping open six watertight compartments. The sea poured in. On board the ship that night was John Harper and his much-beloved six-year-old daughter Nana. According to documented reports, as soon as it was apparent that the ship was going to sink, John Harper immediately took his daughter to a lifeboat. It is reasonable to assume that this preacher could have easily gotten on board this boat to safety; however, it never seems to have crossed his mind. He bent down and kissed his precious little girl; looking into her eyes he told her that she would see him again someday. The flares going off in the dark sky above reflected the tears on his face as he turned and headed towards the crowd of desperate humanity on the sinking ocean liner. As the rear of the huge ship began to lurch upwards, it was reported that Harper was seen making his way up the deck yelling "Women, children and unsaved into the lifeboats!" It was only minutes later that the Titanic began to rumble deep within. Most people thought it was an explosion; actually the gargantuan ship was literally breaking in half. At this point, many people jumped off the decks and into the icy, dark waters below. John Harper was one of these people. That night 1528 people went into the frigid waters. John Harper was seen swimming frantically to people in the water leading them to Jesus before the hypothermia became fatal. Mr. Harper swam up to one young Man who had climbed up on a piece of debris. Rev. Harper asked him between breaths, "Are you saved?" The young man replied that he was not. Harper then tried to lead him to Christ only to have the young man who was near shock, reply no. John Harper then took off his life jacket and threw it to the man and said "Here then, you need this more than I do..." and swam away to other people. A few minutes later Harper swam back to the young man and succeeded in leading him to salvation. Of the 1528 people that went into the water that night, six were rescued by the lifeboats. One of them was this young man on the debris. Four years later, at a survivors meeting, this young man stood up and in tears recounted how that after John Harper had led him to Christ. Mr. Harper had tried to swim back to help other people, yet because of the intense cold, had grown too weak to swim. His last words before going under in the frigid waters were "Believe on the Name of the Lord Jesus and you will be saved." Does Hollywood remember this man? No. Oh well, no matter. This servant of God did what he had to do. While other people were trying to buy their way onto the lifeboats and selfishly trying to save their own lives, John Harper gave up his life so that others could be saved. "Greater love hath no man than this, that he lay down his life for his friends..." John Harper was truly the hero of the Titanic! Parable of the Pencil...........
Parable of the Pencil...................
The Pencil Maker took the pencil aside, just before putting him into the box.
"There are 5 things you need to know," he told the pencil, "Before I send you out into the world.
Always remember them and never forget, and you will become the best pencil you can be."
One: You will be able to do many great things, but only if you allow yourself to be held in God's hand. And allow other human beings to access you for the many gifts you possess.
Two: You will experience a painful sharpening from time to time, by going through various problems in life, but you'll need it to become a stronger person.
Three: You will be able to correct any mistakes you might make.
Four: The most important part of you will always be what's on the inside.
And Five: On every surface you walk through, you must leave your mark. No matter what the situation, you must continue to do your duties.
Allow this parable on the pencil to encourage you to know that you are a special person and only you can fulfill the purpose to which you were born to accomplish.
Never allow yourself to get discouraged and think that your life is insignificant and cannot make a change.

Friend's don't look down..........
Friend's, don't look down...............
Years ago, a young sailor went to sea for the first time. Soon after their departure, his ship encountered a heavy storm and the sailor was commanded to go aloft and trim the sails. About three quarters of the way up, the young sailor made the mistake of looking down. The roll of the ship combined with the tossing of the waves made for a frightening experience. The young man started to lose his balance. At that moment, an older sailor underneath him shouted, "Look up, son! Look up!" The young sailor did as he said -- he looked up and regained his balance. Similarly, when our focus is on the circumstances that we face, the waves of life, we can easily lose our balance and our direction. But when we switch our focus on to the victory that the Lord has already provided -- it is then that we will be able to maintain our stability, finish the assignments we've been given and get to the top! Friend's, are you feeling unstable today? Let's look up! There's no reason to look anywhere else -- Look to God, He will give you victory! Psalms 98:1 Sing a new song to the Lord. He has done wonderful things. By the power of His right hand and His holy arm, He has saved his people.

Fwd: I asked the lord to bless you - Controll davil
I asked the Lord to bless you As I prayed for you today To guide you and protect you As you go along your way... His love is always with you His promises are true, And when we give Him all our cares You know He will see us through... So when the road you're traveling on Seems difficult at best Just remember I'm here praying And God will do the rest. Pass this to all people you want God to bless, and don't forget to send it back to the one who asked God to bless you first. |
7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee
from you.
Most believers expect God to control the devil, but God gave
you that responsibility.
EPHESIANS 4:27 NKJ
27 nor give place to the devil.
Would God tell you not to let the devil have any place, if you
had no say about it? If the devil does have a place in your affairs, it's because you allow it.
The devil will take over -- if you let him.
Jesus won the victory. It legally belongs to you. But the devil
is a criminal, who doesn't obey the law unless forced to.
You must enforce Jesus' victory and Lordship in the situations of life,
or the devil will take control by default.
No human being, in themselves, is any match for the devil. So
you can't resist him in your own ability or name.
You are not more powerful than the devil,
but you do have more authority as a believer in Jesus Christ.
Just as a policeman in uniform has the backing of the entire
government and all its forces, so believers have the backing of
God and all His forces, when we stand against the devil in Jesus' Name.
God gave you authority to resist the devil, and expects you to use it.
If you disobey God by not using it, things will not go very well in your life.
Praying to God to stop the devil's operations is no different
than my son asking me to take out the trash, after I told him to do it.
God told us to resist the devil and he would flee.
We must believe and act on God's Word.
SAY THIS: I will resist the devil and he will flee from me.

Wonders of this modern age made you question what is true…….?
Wonders of this modern age made you question what is true…….?
Did Jesus use a modem at the Sermon on the Mount? Did He ever try a broadcast fax to send His message out? Did the disciples carry beepers as they went about their route? Did Jesus use a modem At the Sermon on the Mount? Did Paul use a Laptop With lots of RAM and ROM? Were his letters posted on a BBS at Paul.Rome.Com? Did the man from Macedonia Send an E-Mail saying "Come?" Did Paul use a Laptop With lots of RAM and ROM? Did Moses use a Joystick at the Parting of the Sea and a Satellite Guidance Tracking System to show him where to be? Did he write the law on tablets or are they really on CD? Did Moses use a joystick at the parting of the Sea? Did Jesus really die for us one day upon a tree? Have the wonders of this modern age made you question what is true? How a single man in a simple time could offer life anew? How a sinless life, a cruel death then a glorious life again could offer more to a desperate world than the inventions of man? If in your life, the voice of God is sometimes hard to hear. With other voices calling His doesn't touch your ear. Then set aside your laptop and modem And all your fancy gear. And open your Bible, open your heart and let your Father draw you near.
Promise for the Day: For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16 - New King James Version

No Excuses.....
No Excuses……
The book of Jonah is filled with valuable information and timeless lessons. Perhaps we could reflect upon a few of these matters. Jonah fled toward Tar shish to escape God's plan. The prophet mistakenly thought that ignoring a divine command would cause the Lord to withdraw it. Instead, He repeatedly and dramatically intervened in Jonah's life until the man submitted. Jonah believed he had good reason to be reluctant. The Ninevites were a bloodthirsty people determined to conquer Israel. So walking across the city, crying out, "Nineveh will be overthrown" was a frightening prospect. And, as the prophet later revealed, he worried that God would spare the city if the people repented (4:2). Jonah wanted them destroyed! Therefore, his reasons for fleeing seemed right in his own eyes, but God was not deterred. There is no adequate justification for rebellion. People running from God's will often use this six-word phrase: "I know what God says, but..." I can tell you with absolute certainty that everything on the other side of "but" is a waste of time. The Lord is not interested in excuses or selfish ambitions. He desires only obedience. He has reasons for asking a believer to take a specific action, and His purposes are always good. Consider the amazing benefit to Jonah and his countrymen if their enemy Nineveh became an ally that worshipped the same God. The Lord doesn't change His plan to suit our purpose. Rather, He uses events, people, and the prompting of the Holy Spirit to move us into center of His will. For your own benefit, go willingly. You may not like the task God assigns, but if He wants it done, then it must be worthwhile.

Prayers Can't Be Answered Unless They Are Prayed…….
Prayers Can't Be Answered Unless They Are Prayed…….
Life without purpose is barren indeed
There can't be a harvest unless you plant seed
There can't be attainment unless there's a goal
And man's but a robot unless there's a soul
If we send no ships out, no ships will come in
And unless there's a contest, nobody wins
For games can't be won unless they are played
And prayers can't be answered unless they are prayed
So whatever is wrong with your life today?
You'll find a solution if you kneel down and pray
Not just for pleasure, enjoyment and health
Not just for honors and prestige and wealth
But pray for a purpose to make life worth giving
And pray for the joy of unselfish giving
For great is your gladness and rich your reward
When you make your life's purpose the choice of the Lord
Promise for the Day: 'Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.' Jeremiah 33:3 (NIV)

Are you tuned……..(Must read)
Are you tuned……..
Back when the telegraph was the fastest method of long-distance communication, a young man applied for a job as a Morse code operator. Answering an ad in the newspaper, he went to the office address that was listed. When he arrived, he entered a large, busy office filled with noise and clatter, including the sound of the telegraph in the background. A sign on the receptionist's counter instructed job applicants to fill out a form and wait until they were summoned to enter the inner office. The young man filled out his form and sat down with the seven other applicants in the waiting area. After a few minutes, the young man stood up, crossed the room to the door of the inner office, and walked right in. Naturally the other applicants perked up, wondering what was going on. They muttered among themselves that they hadn't heard any summons yet. They assumed that the young man who went into the office made a mistake and would be disqualified. Within a few minutes, however, the employer escorted the young man out of the office and said to the other applicants, "Gentlemen, thank you very much for coming, but the job has just been filled." The other applicants began grumbling to each other, and one spoke up saying, "Wait a minute, I don't understand. He was the last to come in, and we never even got a chance to be interviewed. Yet he got the job. That's not fair!" The employer said, "I'm sorry, but all the time you've been sitting here, the telegraph has been ticking out the following message in Morse code: 'If you understand this message, then come right in. The job is yours.' None of you heard it or understood it. This young man did. The job is his." We live in a world that is full of busyness and clatter, like that office. People are distracted and unable to hear the still, small voice of God as He speaks in creation, in the Scriptures, or in the life and work of Jesus Christ. Are you tuned in to God's voice? Do you hear Him when He speaks to you? Are you listening? "This is my Son, whom I love . . . Listen to Him!"

Who wins the Baseball game........
Who wins the Baseball game………
The Lord stood by to observe a baseball game. The Lord's team was playing against Satan's team. The Lord's team was at bat, the score was tied zero to zero, and it was the bottom of the ninth inning with two outs. They continued to watch as a batter stepped up to the plate whose name was Love. Love swung at the 1st pitch and hit a single, because Love never fails. The next batter was named Faith, who also got a single because Faith works with Love. The next batter up was named Godly Wisdom. Satan wound up and threw the first pitch. Godly Wisdom looked it over and let it pass. Ball one. Three more pitches and Godly Wisdom walked, because Godly Wisdom never swings at what Satan throws. The bases are loaded. The Lord then turns to Bob and told him He was now going to bring in His star player. Up to bat stepped Grace. Bob said, "He sure doesn't look like much!" Satan's whole team relaxed when they saw Grace. Thinking he had won the game, Satan wound up and fired his first pitch. To the shock of everyone, Grace hit the ball harder than anyone had ever seen. But Satan was not worried; his center fielder let very few get by. He went up for the ball, but it went right through his glove, hit him on the head and sent him crashing to the ground. Then, it continued over the fence for a home run! The Lord's team won. The Lord then asked Bob if he knew why Love, Faith and Godly Wisdom could get on base but could not win the game. Bob answered that he did not know why. The Lord explained, "If your love, faith and wisdom had won the game you would think you had done it by yourself. Love, faith and wisdom will get you on base, but only MY Grace can get you home. My Grace is the only thing Satan cannot steal."
Promise for the Day: But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)

Our God is an awesome God……..
Our God is an awesome God……..
A young man who had been raised as an atheist was training to be an Olympic diver. The only religious influence in his life came from his outspoken Christian friend. The young diver never really paid much attention to his friend's sermons, but he heard them often. One night the diver went to the indoor pool at the college he attended. The lights were all off, but as the pool had big skylights and the moon was bright, there was plenty of light to practice by. The young man climbed up to the highest diving board and as he turned his back to the pool on the edge of the board and extended his arms out, he saw his shadow on the wall. The shadow of his body was in the shape of a cross. Instead of diving, he knelt down and asked God to come into his life. As the young man stood, a maintenance man walked in and turned the lights on. The pool had been drained for repairs.

A broken heart the price to pay………
A broken heart the price to pay………
How much can the human heart endure?
According to the world, only time can cure
A broken heart, a crushed spirit,
If only I had followed You I never would have been in it.
Instead of obeying the instructions You gave,
I became part of the world and nurtured my sinful ways.
I gave in to the enticement of sin,
Knowing full-well that I alone could never win.
Now I deal with emotional pain,
Because of a sinful worldly game.
I'm hurt and confused! I don't know what to do,
All because I went my way and turned my back on You.
My heart is shattered, the pain is real,
Words can't express the way I feel.
My life was messed up for so many reasons,
The biggest one being spiritual treason.
I followed the world; I turned away,
A broken heart the price to pay.
I turned back to Your ways,
I took heed to Your words.
My pain and confusion You've taken away,
Now I serve You forever, as my one and only LORD.
Promise for the Day: The righteous person faces many troubles,
but the Lord comes to the rescue each time. (NIV)

Don’t throw me on the scrap heap………
Don't throw me on the scrap heap………
You perhaps recall the story of the blacksmith who gave his heart to God. Though conscientious in his living, still he was not prospering materially. In fact, it seems that from the time of his life with Christ, gave him more trouble, affliction and loss were sustained than ever before. Everything seemed to be going wrong. One day a friend who was not a Christian stopped at the little gorge to talk to him. Sympathizing with him in some of his trials, the friend said "It seems strange to me that so many afflictions should pass over you just at the time when you have become an earnest Christian. Of course, I don't want to weaken your faith in God or anything like that. But here you are, God's help and guidance, and yet things seem to be getting steadily worse. I can't help wondering why it is." The blacksmith did not answer immediately, and it was evident that he had thought the same question before. But finally, he said "You see here the raw iron which I have to make into horse's shoes. You know what I do with it? I take a piece and heat it in the fire until it is red, almost white with the heat. Then I hammer it unmercifully to shape it as I know it should be shaped. Then I plunge it into a pail of cold water to temper it. Then I heat it again and hammer it some more. And this I do until it is finished." "But sometimes I find a piece of iron that won't stand up under this treatment. The heat and the hammering and the cold water are too much for it. I don't know why it fails in the process, but I know it will never make a good horse's shoe." He pointed to a heap of scrap iron that was near the door of his shop. "When I get a piece that cannot take the shape and temper, I throw it out on the scrap heap. It will never be good for anything." He went on, "I know that God has been holding me in the fires of affliction and I have felt His hammer upon me. But I don't mind, if only He can bring me to what I should be. And so, in all these hard things my prayer is simply this: Try me in any way you wish, Lord; only don't throw me on the scrap heap."
Promise for the Day: He shall pray to God, and He will delight in him, He shall see His face with joy, For He restores to man His righteousness. Job 33:26 (NKJVFwd: R4- The last of the series for this year

Sin…Why is it so fun…………?
Sin…Why is it so fun…………?
A mother told her young son to go to bed and be sure to say his prayers and ask God to make him a good boy. The boy's father, passing by the bedroom, overheard his son praying: "And make me a good boy if You can; and if You can't, don't worry about it, 'cause I'm having fun the way I am." Does this sound familiar? How many times do we think this? I do not think that anyone would admit it, but we all know that sin is fun. Why is it fun? It should not be, but it is, because it is easy and it gives instant gratification. That is not what God calls us to do though. It has been said that the things that mean the most, which are most important and meaningful, are the things that we have to work for. That is the way the Christian life is. First of all we have to work to be obedient. It is a constant battle to do what is right, but the end result is much better than the instant gratification that we get the other way. I heard a sermon one time about choices. We all have choices, but what we have to live with is the consequences. What I do today will never change, but the consequence of that choice is something that I will have to live with. My challenge to you is to think about what you do and make sure that it is God's will that you do it. Does this situation look like it will be in God's plan? Will it glorify him? That is a question that we should always be asking. John 8:34-36: Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave of sin. A slave is not a permanent member of the family, but a son is part of the family forever. So if the Son (Jesus) sets you free, you are truly free.
Prayer: Lord, deliver us from the blindness that deceives itself into thinking that sin is more fun. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Lifestyle of righteous…………
Lifestyle of righteous…………
At salvation, we were set free from the power of sin and given the ability to think and live as Jesus did. To make that potential a reality requires diligent effort on our part--and surrender to the Holy Spirit. After acknowledging a need for changed thinking, our first step is a commitment to pursue godliness. Then we must measure our opinions and choices against God's Word, regularly asking ourselves, Is my thinking, attitude, or behavior in line with the character of God and the truths of Scripture? Also, we should take note of what is absorbing our attention. It is not healthy to fill our minds with media reports, Web sites, or television programs that do not reflect God's values. The apostle Paul gave us a measuring stick to use in deciding what is worthy of our attention: he said to dwell on those things that are true, honorable, and worthy of praise (Phil. 4:8). Finally, we must discipline our mind to reject ungodly thought patterns. Those who battle addictions can testify about the mind's power to overcome good intentions. Unhealthy, repetitious desires cause us to feel guilty, keep us from connecting with God, and make us a poor witness to others. Through the Holy Spirit's power, we must learn to reject such thought patterns and embrace what God says. Developing a lifestyle of righteous living begins with what we believe. As our minds become in tune with Christ's, we will know what is right, good, and wise. Our lives will reflect His more closely, and we will effectively live out our calling as His ambassadors (2 Cor. 5:20). How closely does your thinking match the Lord's?
Promise for the Day: Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:8-9 (New Living Translation)

Are you just tired to swim………
Are you just tired to swim………
Do you at times feel helpless, Like a ship against the tide?
You feel the darkened waters, Constant crashing against the side?
You're in tumultuous waters, You have been tossed to and fro
Your thoughts are turning frantic, And the tides too strong to row
You're out in the great open, At the mercy of the sea
And suddenly you're feeling, All your inadequacies
Feeling so awfully helpless, Forces out of your control
For they are so much bigger, Without help, affect your soul
There is one force that's greater, That is stronger than the rest
It is our Lord Almighty, For solutions, He's the best
When you're feeling tossed about, And your future's looking bleak
May it be God you call for, And the first one that you seek
For He's the greatest calmer, Greatest peace you'll ever find
When our own understanding, Leads us in these waters blind
He is always there for us, We need to give control to Him
And let the Lord take over, When you're just too tired to swim
For He is your protector, Safely carry you ashore
So call on Him and trust, Him Let His love for you outpour
Promise for the Day: With your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall. Psalm 18:29 (New King James Version)

Have A Blessed Sunday..............
Have A Blessed Sunday..............
A Church member wrote a letter to the editor of a newspaper and complained that it made no sense to go to church every Sunday. 'I've gone for 30 years now,' he wrote, and in that time I have heard something like 3,000 sermons. But for the life of me, I can't remember a single one of them. So, I think I'm wasting my time and the pastors are wasting theirs by giving sermons at all.' This started a real controversy in the 'Letters to the Editor' column, much to the delight of the editor. It went on for weeks until someone wrote this clincher: 'I've been married for 30 years now. In that time my wife has cooked some 32,000 meals. But, for the life of me, I cannot recall the entire menu for a single one of those meals. But I do know this. They all nourished me and gave me the strength I needed to do my work. If my wife had not given me these meals, I would be physically dead today. Likewise, if I had not gone to church for nourishment, I would be spiritually dead today!' When you are DOWN to nothing.... God is UP to something! Faith sees the invisible, believes the incredible and receives the impossible! Thank God for our physical AND our spiritual nourishment! All right, now you're done with reading, Please go to church and have a blessed Sunday.
Promise for the Day: The LORD is in his holy temple; the LORD is on his heavenly throne. He observes the sons of men; his eyes examine them. Psalm 11:4 (NIV)

(Vitamin A-Z) You must need this every day………
(Vitamin A-Z) You must need this every day………
My children, I am the Creator of ALL, and ALL power originates with ME! There is no power in heaven or on earth that is able to cancel My purposes for your life as you yield to Me. NONE! Have I not promised that as you seek Me, you will find Me, when you seek Me with all of your heart? Have I not said to ask, and you will receive? Ask then, and let your hearts run wild and your imagination run vagabond, for you cannot plumb the depths of My planning and provision for My own. Does not My Word promise that if you seek My kingdom and My righteousness, all else that is needed will be supplied? There is no need that I cannot meet, so long as you look to Me to do so. There is no problem for which I cannot provide a solution. There is no wound so deep that I cannot heal; and no situation for which there is no remedy. I AM GOD, IS ANYTHING TOO DIFFICULT FOR ME?! I ask of you your all, not some random portion of your affection. I seek to have precedence over every area of your life. I alone want to reign supreme in your life. Yet I would remind you that I have offered to you My all. Yes, for I have made available to you ALL that is needed to walk in victory and to truly reign in this life. ALL power, ALL wisdom...all that is needed is readily available through My Holy Spirit. Do you lack anything? Then come to Me, and I will fill you to overflowing; and in so doing, will satisfy the deepest longings of your soul. True fulfillment is found in Me alone. Hold Me not at arm's length, but rather come into My embrace, for I wait with arms open wide. I love you as none other could, and I long to lavish My love upon you.
Promise for the Day: Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Mathews 19:26 (New International Version)

Don't Rush-----Just Trust……..…
Don't Rush-----Just Trust……..…
When our day is filled with plans...we must remember to stay in his hands.
We must remember that only he can know...how our day will really go.
We must not yield to our own way...but abandon our will to him and pray.
He alone is who we must trust when we feel the urge to rush.
When we're tired and feel alone...we must take refuge at his throne.
So often things tell us to rush...while there's a gentle voice saying..."just trust"
His love in us yet abounds...through all our ups and all our downs.
So when you leave your house today remember to ask yourself "Did I pray?"
Remember when life presses you to rush...Take a coin from your pocket and read the words that say "In God We Trust"
Promise for the Day: Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the LORD our God. Psalm 20:7 (New King James Version)

plz remember him in your prayer ...
