Our day to day responsibilities ...!

Our day to day responsibilities……….

We must move from being irresponsibly responsible to responsibly irresponsible. Our day to day responsibilities numb us to the possibilities around us and the passions within us. We can find ourselves buried alive by our day to day responsibilities and can totally miss out on the opportunities for spiritual adventure all around us. In Matthew 8, Jesus invited a young man to follow him, but the young man responded negatively (and responsibly). "Lord... first let me go bury my father." And Jesus said, "Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead"(Matthew8:21-22). I think this young man was doing what many of us do. He turned responsibility into an excuse which most of us do. In order to break from such burdensome responsibilities, we need to pay attention to the passions of our hearts and work for God. God has given each of us unique gifts, passions, and opportunities, and we should pay attention to those things because our calling is often found in them. Can you identify your God-ordained passion? If you don't have a God ordained passion, you are out of touch with the emotion and heart of God. Passions aren't like you discovering; they're really about God revealing. If you're seeking to glorify God, if you want to live on mission, if you want Christ to be at the center of your life, if you are dwelling on the Word of God, if you are praying, if you are worshiping, if you are sensitive to the Spirit of God, he will reveal those things. He is going to conceive passion within your spirit. "Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart's desires. "He places passions in you that might seem unexplainable at first. You don't really have to handle them, you feel like God is doing something deep inside you. As you grow in a relationship with God, those God-ordained passions are going to grow deep inside you, Sometimes; the hardest part of passion is waiting. Personal preparation often begins years we start actively pursuing or living in our God-ordained passion and calling. To prepare ourselves during the waiting period, we should focus on developing godly character and being faithful in the little things. When you're given a God-ordained passion, you need to talk about it, you need to think and pray about it. Come out of the cage of responsibility and chase your passion. "Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God. So that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, because He cares about you" (1Peter 5:6-7)

Dear All,

An acquaintance of our friend Shiuly had met with an accident while driving a bike 2 days ago in Vizag (Vishakhapatnam). His name is Kittu. Doctors have kept him on ventilators as his brain has been declared dead. He is a christian and his mom has requested the doctors to allow the body to be kept on ventilators for 2 more days so that they can pray.

Please keep praying for him

Thanks,

Great gardener mixes the right soil………

Great gardener mixes the right soil………

A little girl was enjoying the beauty of the garden in her home. Her father had a good collection of rare and exotic plants. He grew them with tender care. The girl was fascinated by a plant full of fine and fragrant flowers. She went near the plant and enjoyed its beauty and the fragrance of its fine flowers. Suddenly she noted that the plant was growing in a heap of filth. She could not tolerate the presence of dirt at the bottom of the plant with such fantastic flowers. She conceived a plan to clean the plant. She pulled the plant with all her might and uprooted it. She then carried it to the tap and washed the shoot and roots in running tap-water till all traces of dirt were washed away. She then placed the plant on a clean stone and went away, thinking that she had done a great deed indeed. Later her father came to the garden and saw the uprooted plant. Its flowers and leaves had wilted and the plant had almost died in the scorching sun. His little daughter ran to him to exhibit her achievement. "I have cleaned it, Daddy", she reported innocently. "It was placed in dirty soil. Now it is clean." The father showed her how her treatment had almost killed the plant. He told her that he had collected the filthy soil and placed it to cover the plant's roots as it was the best medium to grow that plant. It could grow up healthily and produce fine flowers only if grown in filthy soil. She was sad that the plant had suffered and withered by her cleaning. Pain, poverty and illness may cause agony in our life. Sight of successful persons may make us depressed and envious. A great gardener mixes the right soil for each plant. In the same way God provides each of us with the best environment required for optimum spiritual growth. But it may appear to be unpleasant to us and we may even complain to God about our plight.

You can change the world and reach your destiny…

You can change the world and reach your destiny……………

Archibald Campbell was a nobody. He was one of the thousands of Americans living in Revolutionary War times. No TV stars will ever tell us how it was "200 years ago today" with Archibald Campbell. Archibald Campbell was a school teacher. All he did was teach the boys around Fredericksburg, Va. He tossed out ideas to them. He made his boys read and think. He challenged their imaginations. He was an insignificant school teacher that few people remember. Do you ever feel like a nobody? Only daydreams succeed for some people. Are you one of them? Greatness is destined for the very few. Earthshaking accomplishments might not be your fate. The only way your name would get into a history book is if you put it there....inside the front cover, with your address! There may be thousands of names in somebody's "Who's Who" book, but there are billions of nobodies that make a society social, a religion practical, and a life livable. Without the nobodies who live their faiths every day, work their jobs with pride and conscience, and really try to "love their neighbor as themselves," no society could survive and no great cause could prevail. The truth is that nobody is a nobody in God's eyes. Everybody is a somebody. In fact, everybody is a somebody special. God wouldn't send His Son to die for a bunch of nobodies. Neither would he entrust a mission so great to nobodies. We are all somebody special. In the church that I pastor there is a plaque that someone donated. I often read it when I think I am the "World's Greatest Nobody." The familiar quotation reads: "I am only one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. What I can do I ought to do and what I ought to do, by the grace of God, I will do." If all so-called nobodies could do this, we'd all feel like the somebodies we really are. Yes, Archibald Campbell was a nobody. But his life was not wasted. No one remembers Archibald Campbell, but no one will forget three of his students.... George Washington first President of United States America, James Madison fourth President of the United States America and James Monroe fifth President of the United States America.

Have a Good Opinion of Yourself………..

The opinion you have of yourself is the most important opinion that you have. Too many people go around feeling wrong on the inside not realizing that how they feel about themselves is affecting what is perceived by others around them, and in return, affecting their relationships, their opportunities and overall life. But God wants you to have a different opinion of yourself. You are created in the image of God and are fearfully and wonderfully made. You may not feel worthy at times, but He has made you worthy. When you come to Christ, you are no longer a sinner living in a weak worm of the dust mentality. You are a new creation; a son, a daughter of the Most High God. You have good in you, the spirit of Almighty God dwelling in you telling you, "You are victorious and can do all things." When we go against that and have a poor opinion of ourselves, feeling inferior, intimidated, and insecure, it doesn't bring any honor to God. Instead, it's like we are criticizing His creation. So often it's easy to see the best in others, but it's important to start seeing the best in yourself. We were created to soar, and it all starts with our thinking and how we view ourselves. Don't go through life being against yourself. God wants you to feel good about who you are and take you places that you have never dreamed! It's time to get in agreement with God and dwell on your victories and the good qualities God has given you. If you want to see God open doors that no man can shut, if you want your faith to become effective, you have got to put your shoulders back, hold your head up high and start seeing yourself the way God sees you!

Your ordinary life into adventurous………….

Your ordinary life into adventurous………….

When our routines become routine, boredom ensues. Moses had been tending sheep for 40 years. He practiced the same daily routine for 40 years, and Moses might have probably felt like God has put him out to pasture. Moses thought he would tend sheep until the day he died. He might have literally felt unqualified and disqualified. But, God took him back to Egypt and made him confront Pharaoh. He had no idea that he would reveal the glory of Israel's God through 10 miracles. He had no idea he would be the one who, after 400 years of captivity, would lead the people of Israel out of Egypt and toward the Promised Land. But one day: One day God showed up. I don't think a shepherd named David knew he would become a king, an orphan named Esther knew she would become a queen and Elisha knew he would become a prophet. The invasion of God can change everything in a moment just like he invaded Moses' life. When you are in a relationship with Jesus, all bets are off. You never know what you're going to do, where you're going to go, or who you're going to meet. You never know when or where or how God is going to invade the reality of your life and turn it inside out and upside down in a single moment.  It's better to stop painting a prettier picture of our own life and wait for God to complete our painting. He takes care of the past to invite us into the future, so that we can realize the potential he has given us and truly live the spiritual adventure. "Boredom is the root of all evil." There shouldn't be announcing of boredom in our lives.  Disrupt your routine to think new thoughts. Celebrate for who God is and whatever He is doing right now in your life. Enjoy the journey of your life instead of getting too frustrated or discouraged with your routine life. Ask God to give you emotional energy to think about a spiritual adventure. God will change your ordinary life into adventurous one which he intended it to be. God will make some small changes in our lives that would make a huge difference in our routines. Be of good cheer and look forward for what God has in store for you.

Cycle of Evil

Cycle of Evil................

There was once a king who was so cruel and unjust that his subjects yearned for his death or dethronement. However, one day he surprised them all by announcing that he had decided to turn over a new leaf. "No more cruelty, no more injustice," he promised, and he was as good as his word. He became known as the 'Gentle Monarch'. Months after his transformation one of his ministers plucked up enough courage to ask him what had brought about his change of heart, and the king answered: "As I was galloping through my forests I caught sight of a fox being chased by a hound. The fox escaped into his hole but not before the hound had bitten into its leg and lamed it for life. Later I rode into a village and saw the same hound there. It was barking at a man. Even as I watched, the man picked up a huge stone and flung it at the dog, breaking its leg. The man had not gone far when he was kicked by a horse. His knee was shattered and he fell to the ground, disabled for life. The horse began to run but it fell into a hole and broke its leg. Reflecting on all that had happened, I thought: 'Evil begets evil. If I continue in my evil ways, I will surely be overtaken by evil. So I decided to change". The minister went away convinced that the time was ripe to overthrow the king and seize the throne. Immersed in thought, he did not see the steps in front of him and fell, breaking his neck. Bible tells us "Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin" – James 4:17

Atheist Couple......

Atheist Couple..............

There was an atheist couple lived in a remote area of Texas, USA, along with their 5 years old child. The couple never told their daughter anything about God. One night when they were having their dinner, the parents fought with each other and her dad took his gun and shot her mom right in front of the child. Then, the dad shot himself. They never thought about the future of that little girl, the little girl watched it all. She was then sent to an Orphan home. There was a Christian warden working in that orphan home and she took the child to church. On the first day of Sunday school, the warden told the Sunday school teacher that the girl had never heard of Jesus, and to have patience with her. At the time of group discussion, teacher held up a picture of Jesus and said, "Does anyone know who this is?" The little girl said, "I do, that's the man who was holding me that night, when my parents died." Is it any wonder that Jesus loves the little children? When I heard this incident, it made me stop and think.  Oh, to have the innocence of a small child, to see the beauty in everything around us... May be we all need to stop and look at life through the eyes of a child? Look for the beauty in people that we meet. Look for the beauty of the things that God has created. Live for the moment, and drink in the beauty of what life has to offer us. We only pass by this way once, so take time to stop and smell the roses. We are the children of God, and Jesus loves us all.

God is at work, never give up…………..

God is at work, never give up…………..

This is a true story happened at the time of II world war, In 1949, Mr. John had just returned home from the war. On that day every street and highway you could see soldiers in uniform hitchhiking home to their families, that was the custom at that time. Sadly, the thrill of John's reunion with his family was soon overshadowed. John's mother became very ill and had to be hospitalized. It was her kidneys effected, and the doctors told John that she needed a blood transfer immediately or she would not live through the night. The problem was that her blood group was AB-, a very rare type, even today hard to get, there were no blood banks or air flights to ship blood. All the family members were tested, but not one member was a match. So the doctors lost the hope; John left the hospital in tears to gather up all the family members, so that everyone would get a chance to tell his mother Good-bye. As John was driving down the highway, he passed a soldier in uniform hitchhiking home to his family. Deep in grief, He had no time at that moment to do a good deed. Yet it was almost as if something outside himself pulled him to a stop, and he waited as the stranger climbed into the car. John was too upset to even ask the soldier his name, but the soldier noticed his tears right away and inquired about him. Through his tears, John told stranger that his mother was lying in a hospital dying because the doctors had been unable to locate her blood group, AB-, and if they did not locate her blood group before nightfall, she would surely die. It got very quiet in the car for a moment. Then this unidentified soldier extended his hand out to John, palm up. Resting in the palm of his hand were the tags from around his neck. The blood group on the tags was AB-. The soldier told John to turn the car around and get him to the hospital. John's mother lived until 1996, 47 years later and to this day no one in his family knows the soldier's name. But John has often wondered, was he a soldier or an angel in uniform? Sometimes, we never know who God will bring into our lives to carry out a special mission nor do we know whose lives God will touch. Dear friends God is at work, never give the hope…

Genuine Joy...............

Genuine Joy...............

Every decision that we make and every action that we take is an attempt by us to gain some measure of happiness. The Bible calls us to rejoice in the Lord. Genuine joy can be found in having our relationship with God restored through faith in Jesus Christ and celebrating all that He has saved us from and all that He has given us now that we are adopted into His family. Joy can also be found in walking in Gods ways and obeying His commands. There is also joy in using the creation in the way that God intended and enjoying the good gifts that God has given us without making them into idols. We often short circuit this process and end up miserable and frustrated because we get so caught up in trying to get joy out of creation that we neglect our relationship with God and start disobeying his good commands in a futile attempt to get more joy, but God calls us to first and foremost seek our joy in Him.

Road That Leads to Success………

Road That Leads to Success………

God often uses slow storms and divine detours to get you down the path of His calling and purpose for your life. Bad things do happen to good people, but remember "all things work together for the good of those who love God, those who are called according to His purpose" (Romans 8:28). It's not that God intentionally intends us to go through these difficulties, but God uses them for His purposes in our lives. When we experience some kind of failure; we feel that life is over. It seems that nothing else is left to move on.  God wants to take your failure and turn it into the foundation for how He uses you for the rest of your life. Sometimes the worst thing that happens to you can turn out to be the best thing that happens because God has a way of using troubled times to lay a foundation in your life and prepare you for what God wants. You're going to experience some shipwrecks and snakebites along the journey of life. But, God is going to get you where He wants you to be. If you become more like Christ through ups and downs, then even failures can be seen as success. Abraham Lincoln has gone through many failures. His mother died, he failed in business, he lost his job, he was engaged but his fiance died and his heart was broken. It was devastating to him. Finally, when we look at last point where God took him, then we know that he was the elected as president of the United States of America. In our life, whatever failures we are facing. We've been created to celebrate the sovereignty of God. God is sovereign. He is always at work and your job is to trust Him all the times of your life.

Our Basis for Security during Hardship............

Our Basis for Security during Hardship............

Perhaps right now, even as you read these words, you are experiencing heaviness of heart. You might be facing unbelievable hardships that no one else knows about. May be you are beginning a day that you know will be a challenge or ending a day that knocked you off your feet. Be encouraged, my friend. You are not alone. Whether you're on top of the world or down in the dumps today, try this little exercise. Say aloud, "If God is for us, who is against us?" (Rom. 8:31). Say it again. Repeat it over and over until it becomes a part of you. Let this biblical challenge ring forth from within your spirit and echo through the chasm of your troubles. If God is for us, who can ever be against us? First Peter 1:5 reminds us we are under God's protection. Think about what that means: absolutely nothing can touch us unless God allows it. Moreover, Jesus promises us in John 15:4 that as we remain in Him, He remains in us. We are protected through and through! We have an almighty defender standing between us and the world. It is as though the Father says to our Enemy, "If you want My child, you've got to come through Me first." Whatever hardship comes into our lives must first pass through God's divine, all-loving hands. Of course, we may still experience hurt and loss, but we'll be aware that our Father has permitted it for some higher purpose. And in that, we'll know that we have the power to overcome--and never have to face the struggle alone. Promise: What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? Romans 8:31 (New Living Translation)

God's Love for you and me.......

God's Love for you and me……..

God is the source and fountain of love. He is the wonderful creator, the Supreme Lawgiver, and the Eternal lover. "Love is his Nature and Essence. So that whatever God intends and designs, Love intends and designs. Love is the directing principle in all His actions." Love is the central theme of His teaching. God said we should love not only our friends, but also our enemies, We should love God with all our heart, soul mind and strength, "God so loved the world that He gave His only son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life"(John 3:16). Why did God do this? His Eternal Love is the only reason and answer for such a question. He saw that this was the only way to free the human race from the bondage of sin. From Jesus' tender heart love, love pours forth in a ceaseless stream of gentle words and kindly deeds.  How much it meant for God the son to die for the human race must remain a mystery. We are made free from the power of sin. This is possible because we are no longer under the law but under the grace of a loving God. Love causes us to take our eyes off of ourselves and to pay our attention on someone else. God loves us freely, and because of that we are responsible for loving others. Love causes us to consider other's needs before our own-like Jesus did. Love makes us to sacrifice when we are tempted to be selfish just like Jesus did. Love matters because it encourages us to build one another up. Sometimes we might not find true love among our own people because they might not even know what it is. We might be hurt because we try to find love in this world when we are in need of it, and the fact is we can't actually get through others. But our God is an Eternal Lover. His love is selfless, true and unchanging. Like people, He doesn't love you today and forget you or leave you tomorrow. As mentioned, eternal means forever which lasts for ages. You might wonder and question yourself why does God love me this much which I can't even measure. The answer is He loves you more than you can even imagine or dream. Depend on God for the love you want. You will find comfort and care only in His Love.

Who wins the Grand Prize……..?

Who wins the Grand Prize……..?

There is a story of a competition held in heaven. God offered a grand prize for the angel who collected the most beautiful object in the universe. The angels searched everywhere and returned with several beautiful articles such as flowers, feathers, butterflies, coral fishes and dewdrops. God was not fully satisfied with these collections. Finally, an angel returned with a small bottle containing the tears of a repenting sinner. This angel was given the first prize. The sacrament of penance and reconciliation is instituted in the church, so that those who approach the sacrament may obtain pardon from God's mercy for the offense committed against Him, and are, at the same time, reconciled with the Church which they have wounded by their sins (and which by charity, by example, and by prayer labor's for their conversion). "I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine respectable people who do not need to repent" {Luke 15:7}. David sings in the Psalms, "You know how troubled I am; you have kept a record of my tears. Aren't they listed in your book?" {Psalms 56:8}.

From your partner in crime, Satan

From your partner in crime, Satan

Your partner in crime SATAN

Dear Fool,

I saw you yesterday as you began your daily chores. You awoke without kneeling to pray. As a matter of fact, you didn't even bless your meals or pray before going to bed last night. You are so unthankful. I like that about you!

I cannot tell you how glad I am that you have not changed your way of living. Fool, you are mine. Remember, you and I have been going steady for years, and I still don't love you yet. As a matter of fact, I hate you, because I hate God. I am only using you to get even with God.

He kicked me out of heaven and I'm going to use you as long as possible to pay Him back. You see, Fool, GOD LOVES YOU and HE has great plans in store for you. But you have yielded your life to me and I'm going to make your life a living hell. That way we'll be together twice. This will really hurt God, thanks to you.

I'm really showing Him who's boss in your life. With all of the good times we've had…We have been watching dirty movies, cursing people out, partying, stealing, lying, being hypocritical, fornicating, overeating, telling dirty jokes, gossiping, back-stabbing people, disrespecting old people and those in leadership positions. NO respect for the church, bad attitudes…

Surely, you don't want to give all of this up. Come on, Fool, let's burn together forever. I've got some hot plans for us. This is just a letter of appreciation from me to you. I'd like to say "THANKS" for letting me use you for most of your foolish life.

You are so gullible, I laugh at you. When you are tempted to sin, you give in. HA, HA, HA! You make me sick. Sin is beginning to take its toll on your life. You look 20 yrs. older. I need new blood, so go ahead and teach some children how to sin. All you have to do is smoke, over indulge in alcoholic beverages, drugs, lie, cheat , gamble, gossip, fornicate, be prideful (remember that's why God kicked me out of heaven). Do all of this in the presence of children and they will do it, too. Kids are like that.

Well, Fool, I have to let you go for now. I'll be back in a couple of seconds to tempt you again. If you were smart, you would run somewhere, confess your sins, live for God with what little bit of life that you have left. It's not my nature to warn anyone, but to be your age and still sinning, it's becoming a bit ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, I still hate you…It's just that you'd make a better fool for Christ.

Your partner in crime,
SATAN

PS:- And if you really love me, you won't share this letter with anyone!

True Reason for Easter……….

True Reason for Easter……….

It is Easter, a time of rejoicing. Do our thoughts turn to bonnets and spring? Do our minds drift to sweet chocolate bunnies? Or some cuddly, soft fuzzy thing? Do we dream of a basket of goodies? Or an egg-hunt in the neighbor's back yard? Do we think about fun family gatherings? Or receiving a bright Easter card or is Easter for sporting new clothing? Perhaps a new style for our hair, Is it daffodils, tulips and lilies or the smells of new life in the air? But stop! What's the reason for Easter? Just what makes it a festive affair? Was it not that Christ rose on that morning, giving meaning to life everywhere? Christ is God. He descended from heaven, To live humbly on earth as a man. He suffered, and died as a criminal, To fulfill God's redemption plan. Can we know of the depth of Christ's suffering? Can we fathom His anguish and pain? For us He was tortured, forsaken, Went to Hell, and then ascended again. What if Jesus had failed in His Mission to die for the sins of all men? There would not be a reason for Easter. There'd be nothing to celebrate then. While we celebrate this Easter season, keep in mind this wee bit of advice: Let's take time on this happy occasion, to thank God for His Great Sacrifice.

Easter Promise: The God of our fathers raised up Jesus whom you murdered by hanging on a tree. 31 Him God has exalted to His right hand to be Prince and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. Acts 5:30-31. May Lord bless you on this auspicious day of Easter and May it be a new beginning of greater, prosperity, success & happiness. Wish you a Happy Easter.

The Mouse Trap.......

The Mouse Trap……….

A mouse looked through a crack in the wall to see the farmer and his wife opening a package; what food might it contain? He was aghast to discover that it was a mouse trap! Retreating to the farmyard, the mouse proclaimed the warning, "There is a mouse trap in the house, and there is a mouse trap in the house." The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head and said, "Mr. Mouse, I can tell you this is a grave concern to you, but it is of no consequence to me; I cannot be bothered by it." The mouse turned to the pig and told him, "There is a mouse trap in the house." "I am so very sorry Mr. Mouse," sympathized the pig, "but there is nothing I can do about it but pray; be assured that you are in my prayers." The mouse turned to the cow, who replied, "Like wow, Mr. Mouse, a mouse trap; am I in grave danger, Duh?" So the mouse returned to the house, head down and dejected to face the farmer's mouse trap alone. That very night a sound was heard throughout the house, like the sound of a mouse trap catching its prey. The farmer's wife rushed to see what was caught. In the darkness, she did not see that it was a venomous snake whose tail the trap had caught. The snake bit the farmer's wife. The farmer rushed her to the hospital. She returned home with a fever. Now everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup, so the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for the soup's main ingredient. His wife's sickness continued so that friends and neighbors came to sit with her around the clock. To feed them, the farmer butchered the pig. The farmer's wife did not get well, in fact, she died, and so many people came for her funeral the farmer had the cow slaughtered to provide meat for all of them to eat. So the next time you hear that someone is facing a problem and think that it does not concern you, remember that when the least of us is threatened, we are all at risk.

CRACKED GLASS......

CRACKED GLASS………….

Mr. Knight, science teacher, poured some really hot water into two glasses. One glass had a spoon in it, and the other one didn't. The one without the spoon cracked when the hot water was poured into it, but the other one was fine and remained still. Mr. Knight said the metal spoon helped absorb some of the heat and kept the glass from breaking. My friend Karen wasn't in school today- her family is having all kinds of problems. Her little brother fell down from their basement stairs .Her mother had a broken leg, and her grandma is really sick-she might be dying! I don't see how they can stand it. Well, they know the Lord and that makes a very big difference. That science experiment is a pretty good example of knowing how God helps people. The glasses can represent people's lives, and the hot water can stand for the problems that sometimes surround them. The spoon can represent the Lord; He's the one who helps absorb trials. Without Him, I don't know how anyone stands the troubles and pains of life that come and hit us. With him, his constant love and care keeps spirit. Let's ask God to comfort us and help ourselves leave our concerns with him and trust him through it all. Are you surrounded by problems and difficulties or do u know someone else who is? Do you wonder how he or she can bear it? Sickness of death of a loved one, loss of a job or difficulties, problems with friends or with neighborhood bullies, All these and many other things make you feel like you are going to "crack" like u simply can't stand it anymore. Give your life and your fears to God today. He cares, and he can give the courage you need.
