You are great in the sight of God………..b

You are great in the sight of God………..

There was a musician who was exceptionally talented and a gifted player of fiddle. He was once performing before a large audience, who were enjoying the heavenly melody with rapt attention and great appreciation. He was playing his own favourite fiddle which had four strings and a bow. As the program progressed, one of the strings broke. But he continued to perform without interruption. Then a second string also broke. Still he continued the music without break. After a while, the third string also broke. He continued his magic performance with a single string, with excellent expertise. His music was so melodious that no one could feel the great tragedy that occurred during the performance. This incident teaches us that for a really talented and gifted musician, a single string is sufficient to create a miraculous melody. The mighty Goliath was felled by a single small stone in the gifted hands of David, because God was with David {1 Samuel 17: 49, 50}. Jesus employed the simple and humble gift of five loaves and two fish from a boy to feed the thousands who had assembled to hear His sermon {John 6: 9-13}. God has given every person a generous gift of special talents, which we often hide and refuse to use. (Matthew 25: 14-30 and Luke 19: 11-27). "Each one of us has received a special gift in proportion to what Christ has given" {Ephesians 4: 7}. We must serve God and our fellow men utilizing fully, all the talents and gifts God has given to us (Ephesians 4:11, 12}.

Happy New Year

I pray dat Our God bless u ABUNDANTLY in d Coming Year 2010...

Don’t use God when we need Him………..

Don't use God when we need Him………..

One man, too inebriated to drive, was walking home along railroad tracks when his foot suddenly became stuck. He pulled and tugged, but could not free it from the tracks. Then he heard a noise and turned around to see an oncoming train. In a panic, he prayed. "Dear God, please get my foot out of these tracks and I'll stop drinking." Nothing happened. With the speeding train closer, he tried again. "Oh, Lord, get my foot out of these tracks and I'll stop drinking AND I'll quit cheating on my wife!" Still nothing, and now the train was just seconds away. He tried one last time. "Lord, if you get my foot out of the tracks, I'll quit drinking, cheating, AND ... I'll become a minister!" Suddenly his foot shot out of the tracks and he dove out of the way of the passing train. Dusting himself off, he looked toward Heaven and said, "Never mind, Lord, I got it out myself." Does that kind of prayer sound familiar? How often are prayers, even when one is not in a state of emergency, concerned only about physical needs -- health and safety?  Don't use God when we need Him, We have to be with Him every time He needs. We have to lead a prayerful and holy life. Rabbi Harold Kushner speaks about such prayer. He reminds us that "people who pray for courage, for strength to bear the unbearable, for the grace to remember what they have left instead of what they have lost, very often find their prayers answered. Their prayers helped them tap hidden reserves of faith and courage that were not available to them before." The courage you need will come, and will not fail you.

How to Have a Life of Joy……..(Happy Christmas to U all ......)

How to Have a Life of Joy……..

Do you know how to have a life of joy? Mother Teresa teaches us an important lesson about happiness and about real joy. She was one of those people who emanated joy. Born in 1910 in Skopje, Macedonia, she felt called as a teenager to move to Calcutta, India. Some months later she saw a sight that completely revolutionized her life. Shortly after moving to Calcutta she spotted a homeless, dying woman lying in the gutter, being eaten by rats. After seeing that, compassion compelled her to beg an abandoned Hindu temple from the government and convert it into a crude, make-shift hospital for the dying. "Nobody should die alone" she would later say. Mother Teresa went on to establish homes for the destitute dying in numerous cities. But in spite of devoting her life to people in such dire straits, she radiated joy and happiness. This incredible woman was once interviewed by Malcolm Muggeridge from the BBC News. He asked her an unusual question: "Mother Teresa, the thing I noticed about you and the hundreds of sisters who now form your team is that you all look so happy. Is that a put-on?" Here was a woman who had none of the things we like to think of as bringing happiness: a home, a family, prosperity. Rather, she lived in near-poverty and spent her time wiping dirt and various body fluids from half-dead cancer and leprosy victims -- and appeared to be blissfully happy. "Is that a put-on" she was asked? She replied, "Oh no, not at all. Nothing makes you happier than when you really reach out in mercy to someone who is badly hurt." She would agree that happiness does not come from acquiring, but by-product of giving: time, money, love. Do you want a life of joy? Start by giving.

You are .......

You are strong . . . .
when you take your grief and teach it to smile.

You are brave . . . .
when you overcome your fear and help others to do the same.

You are happy . . . .
when you see a flower and give it your blessing.

You are loving . . . .
when your own pain does not blind you to the pain of others.

You are wise . . . .
when you know the limits of your wisdom.

You are true . . . .
when you admit there are times you fool yourself.

You are alive . . . .
when tomorrow's hope means more to you than yesterday's mistake.

You are growing . . . .
when you know what you are but not what you will become.

You are free . . . .
when you are in control of yourself and do not wish to control others.

You are honorable . . . .
when you find your honor is to honor others.

You are generous . . . .
when you can take as sweetly as you can give.

You are humble . . . .
when you do not know how humble you are.

You are thoughtful . . . .
when you see me just as I am and treat me just as you are.

You are merciful . . . .
when you forgive in others the faults you condemn in yourself.

You are beautiful . . . .
when you don't need a mirror to tell you.

You are rich . . . .
when you never need more than what you have.

You are you . . . .
when you are at peace with who you are not.

Christmas Gift to God……….

Christmas Gift to God……….

Some of my earliest memories from childhood are of sneaking under the Christmas tree to see what gifts had my name on them. I can remember lifting, shaking, and even peeling back some wrapping paper in order to see what toys my parents had gotten me. One Christmas before I could read I even opened every single gift under the tree. The December after I turned five, however, I was in for a shock. I looked under the tree and found not a single present with my name on the tag. There were gifts there for everyone else but nothing with a "to Joe" on it. I was heartbroken. It wasn't so much that I was getting no toys. It was the fact that they had forgotten about me. Never in my young life had I felt unloved until that moment. With tears in my eyes I went and got some old toys of mine and some leftover wrapping paper. I had started to wrap them so that I could have something under the tree when my Mom caught me. Taking me in her arms she lovingly explained that I hadn't been forgotten. They had gotten me presents but had decided to hide them from my prying eyes and fingers until Christmas Day. Looking back now I can't even remember what I got that year, but I will always remember that reassuring moment in my Mother's arms. The gift of love she gave me then remains in my heart to this day. It is the gifts of love that are the greatest gifts of all. Jesus' entire life was a gift of love. As we celebrate His birthday this year then let us all seek to give the gifts of love as well. The gentle hugs, the caring looks, the joyful smiles, and the warm words of love we give will mean more than anything we buy in a store. The time we share, laughter we spread, and kindness we shower on others will live on in their hearts forever. Leo Buscaglia; once said that, "Life is God's gift to you and how you live it is your gift to God." May your gift be a loving one at Christmas time and always.

Help in the Rain……….

Help in the Rain……….

One night, at 11:30 PM, an older African American woman was standing on the side of an Alabama highway trying to endure a lashing rain storm. Her car had broken down and she desperately needed a ride. Soaking wet, she decided to flag down the next car. A young white man stopped to help her - generally unheard of in those conflict-filled 1960s. The man took her to safety, helped her get assistance and put her into a taxi cab. She seemed to be in a big hurry! She wrote down his address, thanked him and drove away.  Seven days went by and a knock came on the man's door. To his surprise, a giant console color TV was delivered to his home. A special note was attached. It read: "Thank you so much for assisting me on the highway the other night. The rain drenched not only my clothes but my spirits. Then you came along. Because of you, I was able to make it to my dying husband's bedside just before he passed away. God bless you for helping me and unselfishly serving others." Bible tells us in Matthew 7:12, Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. Offer help to anyone who needs it, Thank others for helping you. If you help someone, someone will help you. Treat people the way you want them to treat you. If everyone bears that in mind, there will be joy & peace.

After The Rain……………

After The Rain……………

Whatever your cross, whatever your pain, There will always be sunshine, After the Rain. Perhaps you may stumble, you might even fall, But God's always ready to answer your call. He knows every heartache, sees every tear; a word from His lips can calm every fear. Your sorrows may linger throughout the night But suddenly vanish, at dawn's early light. Will you trust your Lord every day for your entire life, marriage and your future? Do you trust your Lord to provide for your emotional, spiritual and physical needs while your spouse is gone? "O Lord Almighty, blessed is the man who trusts in you." Psalm 84:12, The Savior is waiting somewhere above; to give you His grace and send you His love. Whatever your cross, whatever your pain, God always sends rainbows, After the Rain. After The Rain there will always be sunshine.

Dear Brethren,

Joy to Hyderabad; The Lord did come to Hari Hara Kala Bhavan on 12-12; And the IT/ITeS crowd received its King !!

What a joy it was to see 200 hands going up in air in response to the (explicit) invitation to accept Jesus as their personal saviour ! Nothing could further spur us to do greater things for God. Amen ? This was the fruit we all were praying and working hard for over the past 3 months !

I, on behalf of interface, would like to heartily thank all 97 volunteers who unstintingly worked for the past many weeks with tremendous dedication. I feel sad that I am unable to name and thank all of them individually:-( We believe our reward is in Heaven. But on Earth, we did rejoice when many hundreds (approx 900 people) appreciated the marvelous efforts we collectively channelised for God's glory on the evening of 12th Dec.

Right from the time the effervescent MC flagged off the program and until the ebullient volunteers/counselors lovingly sent off the audience, all programs in between was a real treat to savour for a long time ! Who can forget (or who can control :-> ) the screams of the entire crowd which turned frenzy during the hand mime show ? Or who can shut the reverberating echoes which the enchanting 19-member choir team (barring me :d ) produced ? Many keep asking me and Franklin how did interface pull up such a great event - We could only look up and point them to the morning star !!

I would specially like to thank all the (18) fellowship leads and their fellowship members who actively participated in praying, raising funds and inviting as many non-believers ! This would have been a complete no-show had it not been for the encouragement of these lovely people. Finally, I must appreciate my very own (20) Christmas team heads and sub heads who were working round the clock (under harsh conditions because of me :-p ) for many many days to ensure the success of this program. Didn't they do a neat job ?!

Last but not the least, I would like to sincerely thank the interface committee for providing (all of) us such a huge platform to exhibit our talents for the glory of God. Our senior advisers were available on call anytime for any help and guidance. I am indeed so proud and blessed to be working with these godly people at this time !

Please continue praying for the follow-up work which we are currently working on. In January, we are planning to organize a one-day retreat for the benefit of the new believers. Please do send in your reviews/suggestions/testimony reports (if any). We would like to consolidate some blessing reports and send it to you and specially to our spirit-filled speaker, Mr Rajkumar. Wasn't he a blessing and an inspiration to all of us on 11th Dec too ?!

May God alone be glorified in all that we did and are planning to do in the future. Please continue to support the vision of interface by playing a more active role in the coming days. God bless you all richly.

Yours in HIM,
Billy Paul Ebenezer
(Secretary - Interface)

P.S: 1) Photos and videos of this program are currently in the studio for editing purpose. We will try to make it available to the public as early as possible.

No Charge for Mother’s Love……….

A little boy came up to his mother in the kitchen one evening while she was fixing supper, and handed her a piece of paper that he had been writing on. After his Mom dried her hands on an apron, she read it, and this is what it said: For cutting the grass: $5.00, For cleaning up my room this week: $1.00, For going to the store for you: $.50, Baby-sitting my kid brother while you went shopping: $.25, Taking out the garbage: $1.00, For getting a good report card: $5.00, For cleaning up and raking the yard: $2.00, Total owed: $14.75, well, his mother looked at him standing there, and the boy could see the memories flashing through her mind. She picked up the pen, turned over the paper he'd written on, and this is what she wrote: For the nine months I carried you while you were growing inside me: No Charge, For all the nights that I've sat up with you, doctored and prayed for you: No Charge, For all the trying times, and all the tears that you've caused through the years: No Charge, For all the nights that were filled with dread, and for the worries I knew were ahead: No Charge, For the toys, food, clothes, and even wiping your nose: No Charge, Son, when you add it up, the cost of my love is: No Charge. When the boy finished reading what his mother had written, there were big tears in his eyes, and he looked straight at his mother and said, "Mom, I do love you." And then he took the pen and in great big letters he wrote: "PAID IN FULL". You will never how much your parent's worth till you becomes a parent, be a giver not a taker, especially with your parents. There is a lot to give, besides money. IF your mom is alive and close to you give her a big kiss and ask her for forgiveness. If she is far away, call her. If she passed away, pray for her. Ephesians 6:1 says; Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right, we need to obey our parents to live long and blessed life.

The True Story of Santa Claus……………

The True Story of Santa Claus……………

Once upon a time a man called Nicholas lived in Patara, a town in the East; It is now in the country of turkey. Because he was very fond of children and was kind and generous to them, they came to think of him as their dear friend and their beloved saint. So it was that after a time the wonderful things he did were woven into a beautiful legend. You know that Santa means Saint and Claus stands for Nicholas, and that is how he came to be known as Santa Claus. In Santa Claus's own town, Patara, lived a great lord who had three daughters. He was very poor, so poor that one day he was on the point of sending his daughters out to beg for food from his neighbors. But it happened that Saint Nicholas not long before had come into a fortune, and as he loved giving to those in need, he no sooner heard of the trouble the poor lord was in than he made up his mind to help him secretly. So he went to the nobleman's house at night, and as the moon shone out from behind a cloud, he saw an open window into which he threw a bag of gold, and with this timely gift the father was able to provide for his eldest daughter so that she could be married. On another night Santa Claus set off with another bag of gold, and threw it in at the window, so the second daughter was provided for. But by this time, the father had grown eager to discover who the mysterious visitor could be, and next night he kept on the lookout. Then for the third time Santa Claus came with a bag of gold upon his back and itched it in at the window. The old lord at once recognized his fellow townsman, and falling on his knees, cried out "Oh! Nicholas, servant of God, why seek to hide yourself?" Is it not wonderful to think that this was so long ago, sixteen hundred years, yet we still look for the secret coming of Santa Claus with his Christmas gifts? At first he was said to come on his own birthday, which is early in December, but after awhile, as was very natural with Christmas so near, the night of his coming was moved on in the calendar, and now we hang up our stockings to receive his gifts on Christmas Eve. In some countries children still put their shoes by the fireside on his birthday. In others they say it is the Christ-Kindle in or Christ Child who brings the gifts at Christmastime. But it is always a surprise visit, and though it has happened so many hundreds of years, the hanging up of the Christmas stocking is still as great a delight as ever. But one thing we can learn from this true story and we can implement in this coming Christmas, offer help to anyone who needs it.

Butterfly.....

A man found a cocoon of a butterfly. One day a small opening appeared. He sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through that little hole. Then it seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could, and it could go no further. So the man decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon. The butterfly then emerged easily. But it had a swollen body and small, shriveled wings. The man continued to watch the butterfly because he expected that, at any moment, the wings would enlarge and expand to be able to support the body, which would contract in time. Neither happened! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and shriveled wings. It never was able to fly. What the man, in his kindness and haste, did not understand was that the restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening were God's way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon. Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our lives. If God allowed us to go through our lives without any obstacles, it would cripple us. We would not be as strong as what we could have been. We could never fly! I asked for Strength......... And God gave me Difficulties to make me strong. I asked for Wisdom......... And God gave me Problems to solve. I asked for Prosperity......... And God gave me Brain and Brawn to work. I asked for Courage......... And God gave me Danger to overcome. I asked for Love......... And God gave me troubled people to help. I asked for Favors......... And God gave me Opportunities. I received nothing I wanted........ I received everything I needed! Trust in God. Always!

Dear Interface Members,

Aren't things happening around us just like it happened 2009 yrs ago ? For with God all things are possible ! Glory be to HIM alone !!!

9.....and they (we) were greatly afraid. 10 Then the angel said to them (us), "Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. 11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger."

13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:
14 " Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth (Hyderabad) peace, goodwill toward men!"

15 So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, "Let us now go to Bethlehem (Hari Hara Kala Bhavan) and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us." 16 And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger. 17 Now when they had seen Him, they (we) made widely known the saying which was told them concerning this Child. - Luke 2:9-17

Can we too widely proclaim this good news just as the shepherds did when they were relived from fear and anxiety by the Saviour of this world ? Please use the attached invite card to remind your friends about the Christmas program and bring them in large numbers.

54 Hours to go::::Love Decoded

The Story of the Christmas tree....

The Story of the Christmas tree………..

People often wonder where the custom of having a tree in the home during Christmas time comes from. We will probably never know for sure. But there are several historical clues that point out where this custom came from. The Modern Tree: So when did the Christmas tree go indoors? Legend has it that the tradition was begun by Martin Luther in Germany. He was a monk and church reformer who lived from 1483 to 1546. According to the legend, Luther was returning home one wintry night when he saw the stars twinkling in the sky through the tree branches. Luther was amazed by the sight, and when he arrived home, he was eager to tell his family about it. To help them understand, he went to the woods and cut down a small fir tree. Luther brought it indoors and decorated it with candles, which represented the stars he had seen. The custom spread in Germany, and from there all over the world. In England, the Christmas tree first appeared when Queen Victoria married Prince Albert, who was German. In 1841, Albert set up a Christmas tree at Windsor Castle near London to remind him of his homeland. The Christmas tree custom was brought to the United States by people from England as well as by many German immigrants who came in the 1800's. Whatever its origin, the Christmas tree is a beautiful symbol for everyone who celebrates Christmas. The Legend of the First Christmas Tree: The night of the Savior's birth, all the living creatures, both flora and fauna, came to Bethlehem with gifts. The olive tree brought its fruit and the palm its dates. But the little fir tree had no gift and was so tired it couldn't resist when the big trees pushed it into the background and hid it from view. But then a nearby angel took pity and commanded a cluster of stars to come and rest on its delicate boughs. When the Baby Jesus beheld this lovely lighted tree, He smiled and blessed it, declaring henceforth that fir trees should always be filled with lights at Christmastime to please little children.

A Candy Maker's Witness

A Candy Maker's Witness………..

A candy maker wanted to make a candy that would be a witness, so he made the Christmas Candy Cane. He incorporated several symbols for the birth, ministry, and death of Jesus Christ.  He began with a stick of pure white hard candy. White to symbolize the Virgin birth and the sinless nature of Jesus, and hard to symbolize the Solid Rock, the foundation of the Church,  and the firmness of the promises of God. The candy maker made the candy in the form of a "J" to represent the precious name of Jesus, who came to earth as our Savior. It could also represent the staff of the "Good Shepherd" with which He reaches down into the ditches of the world to lift out the fallen lambs who, like all sheep, have gone astray.  Thinking that the candy was somewhat plain, the candy maker stained it with red stripes. He used three small stripes to show the stripes of the scourging Jesus received by which we are healed. The large red stripe was for the bloodshed by Christ on the cross so that we could have the promise of eternal life; you can view the attached image of candy cane. Unfortunately, the candy became known as Candy Cane-a meaningless decoration seen at Christmas time. But the meaning is still there for those who "have eyes to see and ears to hear." I pray that this symbol will again be used to witness To The Wonder of Jesus and His Great Love that came down at Christmas and remains the ultimate and dominant force in the universe today.

The Right Person to Fix It..............

The Right Person to Fix It..............

Once, a man was traveling by his car when it suddenly stopped by the wayside due to some mechanical failure. He did not know what to do. Many people tried to help him but nothing worked. Finally, he managed to stop a car and told him of his car's condition and asked him to give a lift to his destination. The person got down from his car and he began to repair the car. Within a few minutes, he fixed the problem and the car was ready to be driven. The owner of the car was astonished and asked him, "Many people tried to get the car going, but failed. How could you do it sir within few minutes? The man who repaired the car said, "If I can't repair this car, then who can? I am Henry Ford, who manufactures these Ford cars." Friend! When you face any problem in life, take it to God. He is your Creator and is the right person who knows how to fix it. The Lord asks you saying, "Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?" (Jeremiah 32:27).

Sub: Christmas Extravaganza by IT Professionals - You are cordially invited !

Dear <friend name>,

Greetings to you this day! I, on behalf of Christian IT friends in Hyderabad, would like to invite you for a gala evening on Saturday, December 12, to celebrate the spirit of Christmas. With this in mind, we have arranged for a couple of hours of entertainment (and goodies) only for you. Please ensure that you keep this Saturday evening free to come and join us (with your friends and family members), as we usher in the Christmas season.

Be prepared to croon with the choir team and a band of rocking musicians as they belt out familiar carols, add your voice to that of the kids as they render carols in their own unique way, feel your legs tap in tune to the soulful choreo amidst the glittering lights, be amazed by the glowing hand art brought to life by UV lights, be enraptured by the skit, and a wonderful message on Love.

Date: Saturday, December 12, 2009
Time: 6.00 p.m. sharp
Venue: Hari Hara Kala Bhavan, Secunderabad

The theme my friend is 'Love Decoded'. Please come and experience love in its simplest form. We have spared no efforts and have put in tremendous energy to make this event a truly remarkable one for you.

I have attached an invite card for more details. Please do treat this as my personal invitation and grace the occasion. I will be waiting at the venue to welcome you and ensure that you have a blast :-)

Warm regards,
<your name>

seeking God when there's a lull

http://catholicdiscussion.files.wordpress.com/2008/01/pirate_ships-ship_in_the_sun.jpg

There is a story of about a sea captain who in his retirement skippered a boat taking day-trippers to Shetland Islands.

On one trip, the boat was full of young people. They laughed at the old captain when they saw him say a prayer before sailing out, because the day was fine and the sea was calm.

However they weren't long at sea when a storm suddenly blew up and the boat began to pitch violently. The terrified passengers came to the captain and asked him to join them in prayer.

But he replied, "I say my prayers when it's calm. When it's rough I attend to my ship."

Here is a lesson for us......
If we cannot seek God in quiet moments of our lives; we are not likely to find him when trouble strikes. We are more likely to panic. But if we have learnt to seek him and trust him in quiet moments, then most certainly we will find him when the going gets rough.

Should we read the Bible Grandpa???? --

This is beautiful story - if inspired pls. forward. If not, keep it. Can't say when it might inspire you!
Story:
An old Farmer lived on a farm in the mountains with his young grandson.. Each morning Grandpa was up early sitting at the kitchen table reading his BIBLE. His grandson wanted to be just like him and tried to imitate him in every way he could.
One day the grandson asked, "Grandpa! I try to read the BIBLE just like you but I don't understand it, and what I do understand I forget as soon as I close the book. What good does reading the BIBLE do?"
The Grandfather quietly turned from putting coal in the stove and replied, "Take this coal basket down to the river and bring me back a basket of water."
The boy did as he was told, but all the water leaked out before he got back to the house. The grandfather laughed and said, "You'll have to move a little faster next time," and sent him back to the river with the basket to try again. This time the boy ran faster, but again the basket was empty before he returned home. Out of breath, he told his grandfather that it was impossible to carry water in a basket, and he went to get a bucket instead.
The old man said, "I don't want a bucket of water; I want a basket of water. You're just not trying hard enough," and he went out the door to watch the boy try again.
At this point, the boy knew it was impossible, but he wanted to show his grandfather that even if he ran as fast as he could, the water would leak out before he got back to the house.
The boy again dipped the basket into river and ran hard, but when he reached his grandfather the basket was again empty. Out of breath, he said, "See Grandpa, it's useless!"
"So you think it is useless?" The old man said, "Look at the basket." The boy looked at the basket and for the first time realized that the basket was different. It had been transformed from a dirty old coal basket and was now clean, inside and out.
"Son, that's what happens when you read the BIBLE. You might not understand or remember everything, but when you read it, you will be changed, inside and out. That is the work of Jesus in our lives."
Send it to all your acquaintances and spread the importance of the BIBLE :)))
